JFE-EH 450 steel is primarily used by customers whose projects, applications and machinery require improved resistance to wear, together with good workability and especially good weldability. Typical examples of use are earth moving, loading machines and other yellow goods dredgers, skip cars, conveyors and plants processing mineral and aggregate products, trucks, cutting edges, knives and breakers, waste elimination and recycling plants.
Supplementary Technology: Brinell hardness, HBW according to EN ISO 6506-1, on a milled surface 0,5–2 mm below plate surface per heat and 40 tons. Tests are made for every variation of 15 mm in the thickness of plates from the same heat. JFE-EH 450 is a wear resistant steel plate that’s high strength and abrasion resistant. Especially hardened to ensure a long wear life, this plate offers superb cold bending and welding properties and can withstand high impact, boasting a nominal hardness of 450 HBW.
