What is NM600 Wear Resistant Steel Plate?
NM600 is a high-strength wear-resistant steel plate. Wear-resistant steel plate refers to a special plate product used under large-area wear conditions. Commonly used wear-resistant steel plates are plate products with a certain thickness of alloy wear-resistant layer with high hardness and excellent wear resistance, which are formed by surfacing welding on the surface of ordinary low-carbon steel or low-alloy steel with good toughness and plasticity. In addition, there are cast wear-resistant steel plates and alloy quenching wear-resistant steel plates.

Characteristics of NM600 wear-resistant plate:
- Wear resistance of NM600 wear resistant plate:The chemical composition of the alloy wear-resistant layer contains 4-5% carbon, 25-30% chromium, and has a hardness of HV1400-1800. Since carbides are distributed linearly in the wear direction, the wear resistance of NM600 wear-resistant plate is more than doubled even compared with cast alloys of the same composition and hardness.
- Impact resistance of NM600 abrasion resistant steel plate:The matrix of the wear-resistant composite steel plate is low carbon steel or low alloy steel. Wear-resistant materials such as stainless steel embody the superiority of bimetallic materials. The wear-resistant layer resists the wear of abrasive media, and the matrix bears the load of the media, so it has good impact resistance. NM600 steel plate can withstand impact and wear, such as high drop hoppers in material handling systems.
- Heat resistance of NM600 wear steel plate:The alloy wear-resistant layer is used under working conditions of ≤600°C. If vanadium, molybdenum and other alloys are added to the alloy wear-resistant layer, it can withstand high-temperature wear of ≤800°C.

Applications Of NM600 Abrasion Plate
NM600 is used in high wear areas such as aggregate removal, mining and in the manufacture of buckets and wear bodies.
NM600 wear resistant (AR) plates are typically manufactured in the as-rolled condition. These types/grades of plate products are developed for extended service life in severe conditions. NM600 products are suitable for a wide range of applications in areas such as mining/quarrying, conveyors, material handling and construction and earthmoving.
